INVESTOR RELATION
INVESTOR IMMIGRATION REGISTRATION
If you are an entrepreneur and are interested in immigrating to the United States Hsieh & Associates, P.C. can help you achieve your goals. Every year the United States government grants thousands of visas to immigrants who invest in the U.S. economy, as well as to their spouses and unmarried children. To qualify for one of these visas the investor must meet certain requirements as set forth by the U.S. government. These requirements seek to promote economic growth through increased export sales, improved regional productivity, creation of new jobs, and increased domestic capital investment.
To qualify one must invest the required amount of capital into the enterprise that they have established. Generally one must invest a minimum of $1,000,000, but in certain targeted areas the government will accept an investment of $500,000. This investment can be in the form of cash, property, or indebtedness. The investor must also take an active role in managing the enterprise. Furthermore, the investor must demonstrate that their investment will benefit the United States economy and create or maintain a certain number of jobs. The investor can achieve this by creating an entirely new business; or purchasing an existing business and restructure the purchased business so that it is considered a new commercial enterprise; or by purchasing an existing business and expand upon the business or rescue the business if it is troubled. Finally, the enterprise must employ 10 qualified individuals on a full-time basis, or maintain the current level of employees in a troubled business for a certain period of time. When the visa application is approved the United States government will grant you conditional residence for a period of two years, and after that time you will be eligible to apply for permanent resident status.
Due to the complexity of the investor Visa it is commonly recommended to seek the assistance of a licensed professional to help you navigate the requirements set forth by the government. The investor visa requires a great deal of financial investment, time, and effort by the investing immigrant. Choosing the right law firm can help to protect this investment, decrease the possibility of errors that can cause your application to be denied, and increase the likelihood of a successful application. Once the application has been accepted you will need to maintain certain requirements to retain your visa and to later apply for permanent resident status for you and your family. Hsieh & Associates, P.C. offers you experience and professionalism in representing your submission to the United States government.
